Artists Needed!
I have a friend who needs an artist to help him with a comic book. Here's the details (as given by him in an e-mail to his friends):
OK, remember that one time I did that thing for you?
I'm calling in the favor.
I need an artist.
Yeah, I know, some of you are artists. And this is no slight to your artistic skill. Just hear me out.
The BIG BIG BIG news on the Aaron front is that I've been hired by a very small, very new, very small, very did I mention small comic book company to write at least 12 issues of their comic book series "The ESCORT", and it's not about a small Ford.
I'll spare the more gentle of you the details. (Think SIN CITY, though.)
The snag is, as I've said, I need an artist.
It would probably help if the artist has read comics, just because there's a certain language of the form that is shared between those who are intimately familiar with its workings.
(An aside - right now my head is SPINNING with ideas. I'm going to be a comic book writer! Me! Writing comics! Like, for money!)
I don't care what their art style is. Send them to me. If all he or she can draw is japanesey looking anime style stuff, that's OK, I've got a use for that. If they can only draw pin-ups, that's OK, I can work with that.
It also doesn't matter where they live, as this will all be handled over the internet and the United States Postal Service.
But I need an artist.
So people, I call upon you as my friends, family, classmates, enemies, co-workers, cow-workers, children, enemies, cousins, soulmates... help me out.
Send me artists.
